Giselle Dekel

BIO
Giselle Dekel was born in Vienna, Austria, then spent her child-and-young-adulthood, filled with beer, fries, mayonnaise and chocolate, in Antwerp, Belgium. Giselle has always had an undeniable love for art, and at 16 she began her studies at the Kunst Humaniora school in Antwerp. In her early 20s she relocated to Israel where she studied textile design at the Shenkar College of Design and Art in Ramat Gan. But it was her experimental nature and her interest in people that led her to her true passion: illustration. She creates witty and meaningful work about the human condition; as she says, "life can get weary sometimes, and it is essential for me to break the ice about those everyday subjects through art to lighten the mood."
Giselle lives in Petach Tikva, Israel, and is a mother of four (husband included).
